According the contract with Hess Corporation, Vallourec will provide 42 km of steel pipes for the Stampede project in the US Gulf of Mexico.

According Vallourec Tubos do Brasil is supplying 42 km of steel pipes to Parnaíba Gas Natural for the gas pipeline project that will link the field of "Gavião Branco"  to the gas treatment unit of Santo Antônio dos Lopes, in the North-Eastern Brazilian state of Maranhão.

Compliant with the challenging standard API 5L X65 PSL 2, the pipes have a nominal diameter of 20 inches, a length of 18 m and have received special treatment that ensures all the necessary mechanical properties to resist the strong internal pressure caused by the passage of the gas. In addition, a triple layer polyethylene coating guarantees ideal underground corrosion protection for buried pipes.

Vallourec is providing over 5,000 tons in various sizes of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for the critical deepwater development wells. Vallourec’s contract also covers around 9,000 tons of seamless steel pipes for flowlines and steel catenary riser (SCR). They will be installed in water depth of over 1,000 meters.

Vallourec Commercial Manager Sidney Pilon said: "We maintain close technical contact with Parnaíba Gas Natural, with the designer and with the contractor, which also allows us to optimize the delivery of pipes and logistics."

The end of the project is scheduled for December 2015.
