Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH signed a contract for the delivery of 132,000 tons of steel thick-walled pipes for gas pipeline project in Egypt
Salzgitter Group has published on its website to have successfully arranged another international business - the delivery of 132,000 tons of thick-walled large diameter steel pipes for gas pipeline project Zohr in Egypt. Steel thick-walled pipes with a diameter of 600 mm will be placed along the Egyptian coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
The contract was arranged by Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH in the name of the group , and the work will be done by Europipe GmbH - the specialized company for the production of large diameter pipes, a joint venture enterprise by Salzgitter Group and the joint-stock company AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke. The Germans will thus deliver 227 kilometers of steel pipes in the period from May to December this year.
EUROPIPE GmbH currently has three major projects contracted, Zohr project in Egypt, Nord Stream 2 and Trans Adria pipeline, which fulfill the production capacity until the middle of 2018.
