In early June, a contract was signed between the Croatian company Dalekovod and the Norwegian company Statnett for the construction of two sections of power transmission lines with a total length of about 100 kilometers. The contract worth 60 million euros was signed in Oslo by Paško Vela – President of the Management Board of Dalekovod and Elisabeth Vike Vardheim - Executive Vice President of Statnett.
According to the contract, two new sections of transmission lines will be built
the first of 420 kV, from substation of Ertsmyra in Sirdal, to new transformer station in Kvinesdal, in a length of 46 kilometers
the second 525 kV - also from Ertsmyra substation, to the new junction in Vollesfjord.
Reconstruction of 50 km of power line from the transformer station Fed to Kvinesdal was also agreed. The works will start in August this year, and their completion is planned for 2018.
President of the Management Board of Dalekovod was very pleased with the signed contract: "We are very pleased with the signed contract, which confirms our status as a renowned company in the Norwegian market. As we already announced, to the end of June we expect a final investment decision of Statnetts Board of Directors on the construction of another project, 420kV transmission line on the section Namsos - Storheia, for which is a start of preliminary works already approved in a letter of intent."
